The Bartlett Inventory Solutions (BIS) team uses the latest technology that incorporates Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) to collect data, map location, and develop management plans. The BIS team customizes inventories and plans to meet specific needs and goals. The BIS program links information collected in the inventory to photographic images that display plant locations in relationship to roads, buildings, and other infrastructure. This provides a dynamic system that allows you to see the “complete picture” needed to make informed decisions. The inventory program allows you to manage changes in the tree population and record maintenance and planting activities.
